News: NHL.com reports Kings LW Ryan Smyth might miss a month of action while recovering from an upper-body injury sustained on Monday against the Panthers. Coach Terry Murray and general manager Dean Lombardi would not disclose the nature of Smyth's injury. "It could be up to four weeks with that," Murray said. "It's very unfortunate that you lose a player that's an important player for your team, that's going to be out up to that length of time. But you know, you take a look around the league, there's all kinds of injuries to top players. You've got to deal with it. It's part of the game." [...]

Ryan Smyth is out for at least one month with an upper body injury. Kings coach Terry Murray would not specify what kind of injury Smyth has. Smyth was off to a great start to the season with nine goals and 23 points in 22 games. With him gone, Alexander Frolov will play on the Kings' top line.
