Hunwick says spleen is 'non-issue'

News: The Sports Xchange reports Bruins D Matt Hunwick, whose weight dipped to 177 after rupturing his spleen early in the playoffs, was back up to 196 and hoped to add a few more pounds by training camp. "Matt had a very courageous year and a good year," general manager Peter Chiarelli said after signing Hunwick, a restricted free agent, to a two-year deal worth $2.9 million. "He proved himself to be an NHL player. He performed well when he had his chance. His style of play, grittiness, compete level and his offensive bent have certainly allowed him to fit in well with our mix." Hunwick said, "The spleen's been a non-issue." [...]
