News: Erik Johnson finished off the Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday with an end-to-end rush that ended with Johnson firing a wrist shot past goalie Ilya Bryzgalov from the high slot 17 seconds into overtime for a 3-2 victory. After Phoenix put the puck in St. Louis' end, Johnson gained control, skated up left wing and crossed the Coyotes' blue line with the puck. He then moved into the middle and beat Bryzgalov with a wrist shot. "I didn't see it when he released the puck," Bryzgalov said. "I only found the puck when it was close to my pad and it was too late." Bryzgalov turned away 27 shots. [...]

Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 27 shots on Thursday, but it wasn't enough as the Coyotes fell 3-2 to the Blues in overtiime. Bryzgalov faced 30 shots in the contest.
Our View: Bryzgalov was solid tonight, but he allowed the game-winner just 17 seconds into the overtime. He is still having a very nice season, but his numbers have started to drop since his hot start to the season.
