Doug Weight will miss the rest of the season due to a torn rotator cuff and labrum in his left shoulder. The 39-year-old veteran has played through the injury since November but will opt for surgery this week which will sideline him for the balance of the campaign. "I'm relieved I'm doing it," Weight said during the Islanders' morning skate Saturday. "I don't want to feel this anymore. It's going to be a tough process but I'm ready to tackle it." Perhaps that is why the aging pivot registered only 17 points in 36 games this season. If for some reason Weight is on your fantasy squad, feel free to drop him now.
