Romo completed 13 of 29 passes for 127 yards, one touchdown
Romo completed 13 of 29 passes for 127 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions as the Cowboys lost their first game at their new stadium 33-31 to the Giants on Sunday night. All three of his interceptions led to New York touchdowns.
Impacts: Romo had never thrown for so few yards in a full game and his passer rating of 29.6 was the second-lowest of his career. It also was a dramatic reversal from the opener, when he showed the poise and patience he supposedly worked on all offseason and didn't have a turnover. "I'm sorry that I wasn't able to play up to the level the rest of the other guys did," Romo said. "I have to get better at the mistakes I made and I will."

Romo miserable in home debut
News: Cowboys QB Tony Romo was off-target and awful in his first regular-season home game at Cowboys Stadium, completing less than half of his passes (13 of 29) for 127 yards, a touchdown and three interceptions, all of which resulted in New York touchdowns. Romo's first interception was returned for a TD, the second was a bit of a fluke (it bounced up off Jason Witten's shoe) and the third was a punt-like heave into double coverage. A rushing score did help his cause. "I'm sorry that I wasn't able to play up to the level the rest of the other guys did," Romo said. "I have to get better at the mistakes I made and I will." [...]

A rushing score did help his cause. Romo struggles in new stadium
Tony Romo had an off-night in the Cowboys home opener as the quarterback connected on just 13-of-29 passing attempts. He finished the game with just 127 yards, a touchdown, and three interceptions.
Our View: Romo repeatedly missed his targets badly and never got into a groove with any of his receivers, none of whom had more than one catch. Inconsistency is nothing new for Romo, and he failed to take advantage of an ailing Giants secondary on Sunday night.
Cowboys lead Giants 24-20 after 3rd quarter
With all the pregame hype done at the new Cowboys Stadium, and the largest crowd for an NFL regular season game, Tony Romo ran it in himself to put the Dallas Cowboys ahead 24-20 going into the fourth quarter in the nearly $1.2 billion showplace Sunday night.

Romo has career day vs. Bucs
News: Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys are off to a good start without Terrell Owens. Romo threw for a career-high 353 yards and three long touchdowns Sunday, helping the Cowboys begin the post-T.O. era with a 34-21 victory that ruined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' debut under coach Raheem Morris. Miles Austin avoided two tacklers on the sideline to score on a 42-yard reception just before halftime and Roy Williams streaked through a mistake-prone secondary on a 66-yard TD play early in the third quarter. Romo teamed with Patrick Crayton, who had six catches for 135 yards, on the longest completion of the Pro Bowl quarterback's career -- 80 yards -- for a fourth-quarter TD that thwarted any realistic hopes for a Tampa Bay comeback. [...]
