Tony Romo is aiming to improve as a leader for the Cowboys, according to the Dallas Morning News. Romo said, "I think leadership sometimes comes with your ability to perform and your personality. And some of it comes with experience. In a lot of ways, I think I've gotten to the point where I've gained experience. I'm definitely going to take a more active approach with that as we move forward from last year to this season."Romo threw 14 interceptions over 13 games while the Cowboys, who were among the preseason favorites to make it to the Super Bowl, finished third in the NFC East with a 9-7 mark.

News: Buried in a Dallas Morning News article about how Tony Romo is planning to be more of a leader on the Cowboys is a promise from the Dallas quarterback about how his team will do next year. "I promise you, this football team is going to be a good football team next year," Romo said. Romo acknowledged that he needs to become more of a leader in the locker room and added that 2008 was the toughest year he's had physically speaking. He also has spoken with offensive coordinator Jason Garrett and the two will work this offseason to improve the club's offense.
