According to Newsday, the Jets have no intention of adding to the contract of disgruntled running back Thomas Jones. The team does not want to set a precedent for other players since Jones still has two years left on the deal.

Our View: Jones has skipped the voluntary team workouts, but it looks like he is just going to have to suck it up and play. The Jets have not budged on their stance yet, and it doesn't look like they have any intentions of doing so in the future.
