Rams | Jackson felt first day of camp was smooth
St. Louis Rams RB Steven Jackson said there was not a lot of mental mistakes on the field Friday, July 31, and noted everything went really smooth. Jackson said he could tell the transition from the OTAs was carrying over to the practice field in training camp. He is excited to put the pads on right away and start taking some early hits. "I just hope everyone has their chinstraps buckled," Jackson said.

St. Louis Rams RB Steven Jackson said he feels the team has a strong backfield this year. "There is going to be some good competition for the guys that are fighting for positions on this team," Jackson said.

Rams | Jackson focused on aggressive weight training
St. Louis Rams RB Steven Jackson said the only thing he really changed during the offseason was hitting the weights more aggressive than he had in the past. "My body fat is still five percent. ... But I do feel leaner," Jackson said.
