Steelers safety Ryan Clark says he planned to played in Denver despite nearly losing his life after a game in the high-altitude city two years ago. He also says he's not unhappy coach Mike Tomlin chose to hold him out.

Ed Bouchette, of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reports Pittsburgh Steelers FS Ryan Clark (illness) said he would have played in Week 9 if the decision were up to him. Clark exerted himself before the game and did not have any ill effects.
