News: The Indianapolis Star reports Colts QB Peyton Manning's latest progress report is he's on schedule. That was the update offered Thursday by Colts coach Tony Dungy. Manning has missed all 25 full-squad workouts during training camp. He continues his recovery from July 14 surgery on his left knee to remove an infected bursa sac. "He's doing exactly what he thought he would do," Dungy said. "He's rehabbing, (regaining) the range of motion, doing what they're asking him to do. He's throwing some. He's lifting. He's staying active. At some point he'll get the OK (to practice)." Manning might not be cleared to practice until Aug. 25, which would be in line with the originally stated recovery time of four to six weeks. [...]

Mike Chappell, of the Indianapolis Star, reports Indianapolis Colts head coach Tony Dungy said QB Peyton Manning (knee) is on schedule in his recovery from knee surgery. When training camp breaks Friday, Aug. 15, Manning will have missed 25 full-squad workouts. Dungy said Manning is rehabbing his knee, regaining range of motion and doing everything they are asking of him. "He's throwing some. He's lifting. He's staying active. At some point he'll get the OK (to practice)," Dungy said.
