Jones-Drew not overlooking Houston "D"
News: Excuse Maurice Jones-Drew if he's not sitting around thinking how great it will be to face Houston's NFL-worst run defense on Sunday. The Jacksonville running back and his teammates have many more things to occupy their minds. "We are trying to find ways to get our offense back on track," he said. "Before you can really start looking at another team ... we have to correct what we need to do internally." Jones-Drew has always had success against Houston, averaging 5.4 yards a carry against the Texans. Houston is busy trying to improve its run defense after Chris Johnson torched it for 197 yards last week. "We're dead last in the National Football League against the run and that's what they do best, and they've got one of the best backs in the business," coach Gary Kubiak said. "They present the biggest problems for us that we have as weaknesses as a football team, so we'll have to play extremely well." [...]

Maurice Jones-Drew carried the ball just 13 times for 66 yards in the Jaguars 31-17 loss to the Cardinals on Sunday. He also managed four catches for 17 yards but failed to reach the end zone.
Our View: The Jags were trailing right from the start and turned to the air more often than usual on the day. MoJo still averaged more than five yards per carry but the day will likely be considered a disappointment by his fantasy owners.
Jones-Drew limited to 83 yards
News: Jacksonville RB Maurice Jones-Drew continues to be the best thing about the Jaguars offense. Jones-Drew had a solid but not spectacular game Week 2 in a loss to Arizona. He carried 13 times for 66 yards and added four catches for 17 more. He did not find the end zone. [...]

Jennings yet to see action
Despite being healthy, rookie running back Rashad Jennings failed to get on the field in the Jaguars' narrow loss to the Colts last weekend.
Our View: Supposedly, he's Maurice Jones-Drew's back-up, though that would seem to be disputed by the fact that Montell Owens got a carry on Sunday and he didn't. For the moment at least, he is not a viable handcuff for Jones-Drew.
Jones-Drew's increased workload in Sunday's season-opening loss

MoJo solid in loss
Maurice Jones-Drew rushed 21 times for 97 yards and a touchdown in the season opener against the Colts. He also caught a team-high five passes for 26 yards.
Our View: Jones-Drew was stopped on the most important play, a two-point effort in the fourth quarter. Still, fantasy owners should be pleased with the effort. MoJo should get a ton of touches on a weekly basis.

Our View: Fantasy owners had a scare last week when Jones-Drew went down with a leg injury, but it turned out to be just a bruise and he is on schedule to start Week 1 against the Colts. He is expected be at full speed as well, which is a good thing considering he has 517 rush yards, 199 receiving yards and six scores against the Colts in just six games over his career.
