Marlin Jackson returned to practice with the Colts today, according to the Associated Press.
Our View: This is surprising as it typically takes a full year to recover from ACL surgery. Jackson underwent his surgery December 1. Jackson noted that he is not 100 percent recovered yet, but is ahead of schedule. When healthy, Jackson is a solid NFL cornerback.

Status: I.R.. Out for season
Marlin Jackson confirmed an ESPN.com report that he tore the ACL in his left knee during Wednesday's practice. He'll be placed on injured reserve, ending his season. Jackson tore the ACL in his right knee last season, which had limited him to nickel back duties early this year. He's also missed the past three games while dealing with a left ACL strain. One of the best pass defenses in the league, the Colts are used to replacing cornerbacks and may also be without LCB Kelvin Hayden this week. Jackson is unlikely to draw much interest as a free agent after the season with chronic knee woes.
