CB Jackson Recovering Well
Colts CB Marlin Jackson said he should be ready for training camp, ahead of schedule, as he continues to recover from surgery on his right knee to repair two torn ligaments. "I'm pretty far ahead of schedule," he said this week. "Originally, the things (doctors) were telling me were devastating to hear. Now, I know I'll be ready for training camp. No doubt." Most recently, Jackson has regained strength in his right knee and is able to run straight ahead at full speed. He is able to accelerate, decelerate, hop and pull a sled. He's attacking drills that focus on lateral movement, but only in controlled situations.

Status: I.R.. Out for season
Marlin Jackson confirmed an ESPN.com report that he tore the ACL in his left knee during Wednesday's practice. He'll be placed on injured reserve, ending his season. Jackson tore the ACL in his right knee last season, which had limited him to nickel back duties early this year. He's also missed the past three games while dealing with a left ACL strain. One of the best pass defenses in the league, the Colts are used to replacing cornerbacks and may also be without LCB Kelvin Hayden this week. Jackson is unlikely to draw much interest as a free agent after the season with chronic knee woes.
