Sanchez is hot-doggin' it again. This time, the Jets rookie quarterback isn't sneaking a snack on the sideline, though. Sanchez has bought 500 hot dogs and 500 hamburgers, along with buns and rolls, through A&P supermarket, and donated them to the Community Soup Kitchen of Morristown, N.J.
Impacts: Sanchez was grilled Sunday after television cameras caught him trying to discreetly put mustard on a hot dog and eat it late in New York's 38-0 win at Oakland. He apologized after the game, saying he didn't feel well and needed to eat something. Sanchez added that "it won't happen again." Coach Rex Ryan said he was "disappointed" with Sanchez, but said the quarterback didn't mean to be disrespectful.

Sanchez eats hot dog on sidelines
Mark Sanchez has apologized for eating a hot dog on the sidelines during the Jets' 38-0 demolition of the Raiders on Sunday, according to the New York Post.
Our View: Sanchez said he was not feeling well, and simply ate the first thing that was handed to him. It's great news for the Jets that people were able to focus on Sanchez's eating habits, and not another multiple interception day, in the wake of their tilt with Oakland.

Sanchez efficient in win
Mark Sanchez bounced back from his five-interception performance in Week 6 with and efficient 9-of-15 day for 143 yards and a score in the air. Sanchez also added a touchdown on the ground off two carries for four yards.
Our View: Sanchez wasn't asked to do much after the Jets got off to an early lead against Oakland and never looked back. Continue to look at him as no more than a backup fantasy quarterback in New York's run-first offense.
Opportunistic Jets beat Raiders 38-0
Mark Sanchez shook off the worst start of his young career by running for one touchdown and throwing for another, fellow rookie Shonn Greene ran for 144 yards and two scores and the New York Jets snapped a three-game losing streak by beating the Oakland Raiders 38-0 on Sunday.

Asomugha to play against NFL interceptions leader
Nnamdi Asomugha will play in Week 7 despite suffering an eye injury in Week 6, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Our View: He will be sporting a protective eye shield against the Jets. After Jets rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez threw five interceptions last week, the league's top corner has to be anxious in anticipation for his matchup on Sunday. With Sanchez almost certainly to avoid Asomugha, look for Oakland's other corners to have a big day.

Jets coach Rex Ryan is sticking with Sanchez as his starting quarterback despite the struggling rookie's five-interception performance in the New York Jets' loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Impacts: Sanchez, the fifth overall pick out of Southern California, has mostly struggled since beating out Kellen Clemens for the job in the preseason. He's tied with Carolina's Jake Delhomme for the league lead in interceptions with 10, and his 56.7 quarterback rating is higher than only Oakland's JaMarcus Russell and Cleveland's Derek Anderson.

Sanchez thows five picks in OT loss
Mark Sanchez was just 10-of-29 for 119 yards, zero touchdowns and five interceptions in Sunday's overtime loss to the Bills.
Our View: That's right. Five interceptions. Sanchez looked lost in this one and the Jets seem to be coming apart at the seams. The rookie quarterback constantly missed open targets and threw poor percentage passes to covered receivers all game. Hopefully he can chalk this up as a bad day and start from scratch against the Raiders next week. God help you if you had him in your fantasy lineup today.

Sanchez has forgettable night
Mark Sanchez had another rocky game on Monday night, completing just 12-of-24 passes for 172 yards, adding both a touchdown and interception, in New York's 31-27 loss in Miami.
Our View: With five touchdowns and six interceptions through the Jets' first five games, Sanchez is clearly a bottom-rung fantasy option, though he is more valuable to the Jets in real life than he is on paper.

Sanchez gets picked three times as Jets lose
The storybook beginning to Mark Sanchez's career finally came to an end on Sunday. The Jets' rookie quarterback threw three interceptions, and no scores, as New York lost 24-10 in New Orleans.
Our View: It had been too easy for Sanchez so far. While he's not going to throw three interceptions every week, he should be a bottom-tier option at quarterback for most of 2009.
