Haslett said, "MarcÂ’s the starting quarterback, and heÂ’ll be the starting quarterback the rest of the year unless something happens. I talk to Marc and Trent Green about it. ItÂ’s more a gut feeling on my part. I talked to the offensive coaches, and everybody involved, and I thought Marc would give us the best opportunity to win games for the next three months."The offense should respond better under Haslett and Bulger should be scooped up if released to the waiver wire while demoted by Scott Linehan.

Acting head coach Jim Haslett praised quarterback Marc Bulger on Monday, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Haslett said, "I think Marc's a heck of a football player. I think he's one of the top quarterbacks that's played. If you look at his numbers over the years, he's in the upper echelon of quarterbacks. But that's something that I'll sit down with the offensive staff, and then we'll decide what's best for this team, for next week and the future."Haslett is yet to make an official announcement, but Bulger is expected to be reinstated as the Rams' starting quarterback. The Rams have a bye this week to allow Haslett more time to prepare for Week 6 at Washington.
