Trent Green will start the Rams final preseason game as the team will rest Marc Bulger to avoid injury, according to the Bellville News-Democrat.This is a nice feather in Green's cap given that the game will be playing against his former team, the Chiefs, in Kansas City. While Bulger has failed to stay healthy in recent seasons, he is clearly the only fantasy option with the Rams so there is no need to even draft Green unless you are in an extremely deep league.

Marc Bulger may be limited throwing today in practice after taking a brutal shot to his throwing shoulder late in the first half against the Chargers in preseason action, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Coach Scott Linehan said, "We'll just see how he feels throwing Monday. The doctors weren't concerned about it. Afterwards, they tested his strength, it was pretty good. We'll see. Sometimes guys wake up and they're pretty sore. So we'll see if he has to be limited at all." Bulger only completed 10-of-23 passes for 85 yards in the preseason but Linehan added, "Marc's making a lot of progress. It's a new system, got some new players and all those things. As soon as we get our timing down, he's going to continue to play winning football for us."Bulger could be a reliable weekly fantasy starter in 2008, but the team needs Steven Jackson to end his holdout, and Orlando Pace needs to stay healthy as the anchor of the offensive line.

News: Rams QB Marc Bulger was taken out of Saturday's preseason game against the Chargers after getting hit from behind while preparing to pass late in the first half, and the team feared a rotator cuff injury for a few minutes. After the game, he said the injury was a "five-minute thing," and is expected to be ready for the third week of the preseason against the Ravens. "We are just going to see how he feels throwing (Monday), if he can," head coach Scott Linehan said Sunday. "It is really not serious but it hurt enough that he would not been able to play that next play so we just used that situation to put Trent (Green) in and leave him in there because it was a preseason game. The doctors were not concerned about it. Afterwards, (the doctors) tested his strength it was pretty good. We will see. You know sometimes guys wake up pretty sore so we will see if he has to be limited at all but from my standpoint I think he is going to be just fine." [...]
