Leodis McKelvin is unable to practice due to an injured middle finger on his right hand, according to the Buffalo News. The Bills and McKelvin did not disclose the details regarding his ailment, and it is not a football injury.
Our View: While it is uncertain what happened to his hand, the Bills did note that he is expected to return to the gridiron soon. The second-year cornerback is going to compete for the starting role opposite Terrence McGeee.

Status: I.R.. Out for season
Bills placed CB/KR Leodis McKelvin (leg) on injured reserve, ending his season. The Bills will turn to burnable veteran Drayton Florence after McKelvin fractured a bone in his lower leg/ankle are in Week 3. While his brief 2009 season will remembered for a Week 1 fumble against the Pats, last year's first-rounder has a bright future as both a corner and a returner.
