Updating an earlier report, Fred Taylor has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jets, according to the Boston Globe.
Our View: Fragile Fred will be missing his sixth straight game with an ankle injury. Sammy Morris is questionable with his ailing knee, meaning Laurence Maroney will likely remain the Patriots' No. 1 running back.

Sammy Morris is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets, according to the Boston Globe.
Our View: Morris missed the last three games with a knee injury, but appears to be nearing his return to the gridiron. Fred Taylor (ankle) will remain out, so Laurence Maroney should continue to handle the bulk of the workload at running back on game day.
