Chiefs | Haley looking forward to running back competition
During his press conference Friday, July 31, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Todd Haley said he is excited to see how the team’s running back competition plays out. Haley acknowledged RB Larry Johnson has not been an issue this offseason and that he is “capable of being a very good running back in the league.” Haley added, “He’s a top echelon guy and right now running back in general is one of the groups I’m excited to see how it plays out because I think we have some talent there and we’ve got some competitive guys. It should be an interesting battle as we go forward. I just told the team that there’s opportunity for everyone, so every position is wide open right now.”

I am a fan who can vouch for Larry's roots, because I grew up knowing his grandfather and his grandmother. From eastern North Carolina, I now live in Kansas, not far from Lawrence, and I am pulling for Larry now. Larry and Larry Sr have made Herman and Dorothy proud in so many ways.
