Jamie Winborn auditioned for the Bills today, according to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post. The team also tried out Matt Wilhelm, Leon Williams, Alex Lewis and Patrick Thomas.

Our View: The Bills are in need of depth at linebacker with Kawika Mitchell done for 2009 with a knee injury. It is uncertain if they will add any of the aforementioned players from the list after signing Chris Draft.

Kawika Mitchell is out for the season with a knee injury suffered in Sunday's loss to the Browns, according to the Buffalo News. Mitchell was carted off the field after the injury in the second quarter.

Our View: Mitchell was playing his first game this season at middle linebacker, and now the team has no one left thanks to the injuries to Mitchell, Marcus Buggs, and Paul Posluszny. Mitchell will be missed by the team, as he was a veteran and a team captain.

The Buffalo News is reporting that backup linebacker Marcus Buggs is done for the season with a knee injury sustained in Sunday's loss to the Browns. Buggs was filling in for Kawika Mitchell, who is alos out for the year with a knee injury.

Our View: This is not a good time to be a middle linebacker in Buffalo, as they have now lost three players to injury at that position. The tema will need to find someone to fill in at the position, and whoever it is better watch over his shoulder.

Status: Out. Questionable for OTAs
Bills LB Kawika Mitchell (quad/knee) expects to be ready to resume football-related activities sometime in May. Mitchell isn't even sure he'll be part of new coach Chan Gailey's plans, but we expect him to be one of the inside linebackers in the Bills' new 3-4 scheme. He's set to earn a reasonable $2.7 million in 2010.
