News: Saints head coach Sean Payton said that LB Jonathan Vilma had arthroscopic surgery last month in his abdomen to clear out a potential sports hernia. He will not be placed on the PUP list. "He'll get a fair amount of reps to begin with and we'll just monitor that in the first week or so before we turn him loose," Payton said. "He'll get a lot of the team work. ... he has rehabbed it well and feels close to 100 percent, but not quite there yet." [...]
