News: According to a report, Saints TE Jeremy Shockey will show up for the team's offseason workout sessions in March, something he never did with the Giants. "He'll be there," Saints coach Sean Payton on Thursday at the NFL combine in Indianapolis, according to NorthJersey.com. "(QB) Drew (Brees) is pretty good about that. Those guys quickly figure out what his calendar is and put their calendar around his accordingly." As far as Shockey’s 2008 season, Payton said, "That sports hernia was very significant in what you ask a tight end to do. But the last part of the season he was coming on before he sprained his ankle in Detroit. But he got along great, we have a real strong locker room and the fit with him has been good." [...]
