Lions' GM Martin Mayhew noted that the club is considering moving Jeff Backus from tackle to guard, according to the Detroit News.

Our View: That could be a sign that the Lions may target a tackle with the first pick in the draft, namely either Jason Smith (Baylor) or Eugene Monroe (Virginia).
