PFT goes against fans, adds Taylor over Griese to Dolphins Mt. Rushmore

Music to Jason Taylor's ears? He makes Mt. Rushmore over Bob Griese.

Dolphins fans wanted Hall of Fame quarterback Bob Griese to join fellow Hall-of-Famers Don Shula, Dan Marino and Larry Csonka on the team’s mythical Mt. Rushmore.

But Pro Football Talk editor Mike Florio intervened, putting future Hall-of-Fame defensive end Jason Taylor over Griese.

Marino dominated the fan voting with 96 percent selecting him for a spot on Mt. Rushmore. Shula received 92 percent of the votes, Csonka 76 percent and Griese 48 percent. Taylor wasn’t even next. Hall-of-Fame Linebacker Nick Buoniconti, who split his career with the Patriots and Dolphins, finished in fifth place with 20 percent of the vote. Taylor was sixth with 14 percent
