The Detroit Lions have released cornerback Jason David, according to the Twitter page of NFL writer Adam Caplan.
Our View: David will be replaced by the recently claimed Jack Williams on the roster. He struggled in pass coverage last season, and he has been unale to catch on anywhere this season.

The Detroit Lions have claimed defensive back Jack Williams from the Broncos, according to the Twitter page of NFL writer Adam Caplan. Williams was released by the Broncos over the weekend.
Our View: Williams made 14 tackles and recovered a fumble with the Broncos, and he should replace the recently released Jason David. Williams has potential as a good, young cornerback, but he won't greatly alter the landscape in Detroit.
