Donnie Avery is making strides with the Rams as he notched a season-high six receptions for 163 yards (with a 69-yard touchdown) in Sunday's close loss to New England, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He is not intimidated by trying to replace future Hall of Famer Isaac Bruce as the Rams' No. 2 receiver and he said, "I'm not worried about any of that; I can't compare myself to him. I'm just trying to make plays. That's it."The rookie led the team in receiving Sunday, and Torry Holt only had three catches for 28 yards. Avery looks to have a solid second half, and is worth targeting if still on the waiver wire.
