Gerald Alexander is expected to compete for the starting job at strong safety in training camp with the Jaguars, according to their official team website.
Our View: Alexander will battle Sean Considine, and Alexander is considered the underdog to start. If Alexander does manage to beat out Considine, he will be worth consideration as a flier for IDP leagues. Alexander racked up a career-high 81 tackles in 2007 as a rookie with the Lions.

Newly acquired Jaguars SS Gerald Alexander is expected to compete for a starting job in training camp. Jaguars.com points out that Jacksonville liked Alexander coming out of Boise State in 2007 and he passed his physical after a 2008 neck injury. [...]

Status: Questionable. Unsure of return
In addition to CB Rashean Mathis (groin), the Jags may also be without MLB Justin Durant (concussion) and SS Gerald Alexander (shoulder) in Week 11. The Bills offense may have a fighting chance this week even with Ryan Fitzpatrick under center. The Jags are talking about playing Reggie Nelson at corner again, which would be great news for Lee Evans in a highly favorable matchup.
