The Clarion Ledger reports that Deuce McAllister says he will definitely play in the NFL next season. He was cut by the Saints in February. He has reportedly been going through two hour workouts four times a day to get into shape for the season.
Our View: At best, McAllister could be a No. 2 back next season, but he will have to workout for any prospective buyers. Last season, Deuce was good for 107 carries and 418 yards on the ground, to go with 18 catches for 128 yards. He totaled six touchdowns on the season.

Rick Cleveland, of The Clarion-Ledger, reports free-agent RB Deuce McAllister (Saints) is planning to play football again. He spoke with scouts from 10 to 12 different NFL teams at DukeÂ's NFL senior day. McAllister said, Â"There\'s definitely some interest there. Everybody wants to know how it\'s going.Â" He is planning to start running again in two weeks, and hoping to work out for NFL teams prior to the 2009 NFL Draft.
