Daunte Culpepper practiced Tuesday, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Our View: Rookie Matthew Stafford (knee) is feeling better, and might be able to play in Week 8 against St. Louis. If not, Culpepper should be ready to make another start in his place.

Status: Out. Return Week 8
Daunte Culpepper (hamstring) participated in Lions practice Friday. Matt Stafford (knee) and Calvin Johnson (knee) were out, although that doesn't mean they'll miss Week 8. Detroit is currently on a bye. The local writers are calling for Drew Stanton to start over Culpepper should Stafford not be able to play after the off week. Culpepper has been totally ineffective.
