Rookie fullback Eddie Williams has been signed to the Redskins' active roster.
Our View: He's taking the roster spot of Chris Samuels. He should play on special teams, and occasionally as a blocker in the running game.
Samuels is out for the season and was placed on injured reserve

Impacts: The six-time Pro Bowl lineman has a chronic spinal condition and will decide in a few months whether to return next season or retire.

Status: I.R.. Out for season
Redskins placed LT Chris Samuels (spine) on injured reserve, ending his season. This is just a formality as Samuels is seriously considering retirement. He's been warned that if he tries to play again he could end up not being able to walk. Expect an official decision on Samuels' career after the season. Regardless, the Redskins sorely need to draft a handful of offensive lineman in the 2010 draft.
