Don't sit Chris Johnson now!
News: We know you're starting Titans RB Chris Johnson in Week 11 at the Texans, but we also thought you'd like to be reminded that he had 284 total yards and three TDs vs. Houston in their Week 2 meeting. [...]
Stroud out
Marcus Stroud has been ruled out for Week 11, according to ESPN.
Our View: The Bills' top defensive tackle, Stroud's absence all but clears a runway for the Jaguars' Maurice Jones-Drew to just run all over Buffalo's defense. He could be in for a positively Chris Johnson-type week.
Chris Johnson predicts big finish for Titans
Chris Johnson has guaranteed that the Titans will finish the season 10-6, according to HoustonTexans.com. Tennessee is 3-6 after beginning the season 0-6.
Our View: While Johnson is a phenomenon on the field, he appears to be a hopeless romantic off of it. Regardless of how many games Tennessee wins in its next seven, Johnson should rush for over 100 yards in a lot of them.
A look at Johnson's pace
Chris Johnson's pace is a big topic, and if he keeps it up he'll finish with 1,940 yards. Eric Dickerson set the league record with 2,105 yards in 198...

Johnson ran for 132 yards and two touchdowns, and he caught nine passes for 100 more and the Tennessee Titans beat the Buffalo Bills 41-17 Sunday for their third straight victory.
Impacts: Johnson walked into his post-game news conference carrying the Terrell Owens jersey the receiver had promised the running back if the Titans beat Buffalo. Johnson's owners, meanwhile, continue to reap the rewards of drafting the super-fast running back, who has blossomed into perhaps the best player in all of fantasy football and even prompted speculation of a bid for a 2,000-yard season.

Pairing Chris Johnson and Vince Young in the same backfield is turning into a very potent combination.

The Associated Press reports Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries and caught nine passes for 100 yards in Week 10. He is the first running back to surpass the 1,000-yard mark this season.

Chris Johnson rushed 26 times for 132 yards and two touchdowns and added nine receptions for 100 yards to lead the Titans over the Bills in Week 10, 41-17. [...]
Johnson reaches 1,000 yards
Chris Johnson ripped off a 32-yard run in the second quarter of the Week 10 game against the Bills. The effort pushed him over 1,000 rushing yards for the season, and he is the first back to hit that mark this year.
Our View: Johnson may be on his way to a fourth straight effort of at least 125 yards. We've run out of ways to say that he is a stud.
Stewart likely returning this week
Titans' tackle David Stewart practiced fully on Friday for the first time since his hamstring injury, according to the Nashville City Paper. Stewart is expected to play this week against the Bills.
Our View: Stewart missed last week's game due to the injury, but it looks like he should be able to get back in there tomorrow. Chris Johnson looks poised for another big game this week, and the return of Stewart would only help his cause.

LenDale White fully practices
LenDale White fully practiced Friday after sitting out the previous two days, according to the Titans' official website. He is recovering from an illness.
Our View: White could be recovered in time to play in Sunday's game against the Bills, but is not a recommended fantasy option while getting limited carries behind star Chris Johnson.
Gage Has Broken Bones In Back
WR Will Be Out Indefinitely
Titans receiver Justin Gage said his crash-landing after a leaping grab against the 49ers was worth the pain. Now he knows the price - he fractured multiple small bones in his back when he landed.Gage won't play in this Sunday's game against the Bills as a result of the injury, and is expected to miss a few weeks. It's a blow to the offense. Gage recorded seven catches for 138 yards in back-to-back wins over the Jaguars and 49ers, including a four-catch, 97-yard game against the 49ers.Gage suffered his back injury when he landed hard after his 33-yard catch which set up the go-ahead score in Tennessee's 34-27 win.The injury does not require surgery, but Fisher said he's unsure how long Gage will be sidelined. Gage has not practiced this week. (Nashville Tennessean)
FF Today's Take: VY's security blanket being out of the lineup doesn't figure to help an already-challenged passing game. This week, however, it shouldn't make a difference as the Titans should lean on Chris Johnson (RB, DB, DB) and go run-heavy against the Bills' woeful rush defense. Rookie Kenny Britt is expected to move into the starting lineup in place of Gage.
Johnson on pace for several records
News: Titans RB Chris Johnson not only leads the NFL in yards rushing and yards from scrimmage but has an edge of more than 100 yards in each category. His 6.7 yards per carry average is the highest through nine weeks of the season since the NFL/AFL merger in 1970, and is better than Barry Sanders, O.J. Simpson and Jim Brown the years they led the league in rushing. And he is 41 yards short of a second straight 1,000-yard rushing season. Johnson has 491 of his 959 yards rushing in the past three games, putting him on a pace not only to challenge Hall of Famer Earl Campbell's franchise record of 1,934 yards in 1980, but possibly reaching the magic 2,000. That hasn't been done since Jamal Lewis had 2,066 in 2003, and Sanders, Simpson, Eric Dickerson and Terrell Davis are the only other backs to do manage it in the NFL. Buffalo coach Dick Jauron gets to plot defensive strategy against Johnson on Sunday. He can't compare Johnson to any other running back. "He's just so fast and explosive. When he gets that step, there doesn't seem to be another person on the field that can catch him," Jauron said. [...]

TEN Coach Fisher Praises Patrick Willis
Suggests That Niners' LB Effort Was The Best He Has Seen
This is Patrick Willis' third NFL season, but it was the first time Titans coach Jeff Fisher had seen him play. Needless to say, he came away mighty impressed. Fisher, at Tuesday's press conference, was asked about Titans running back Chris Johnson (RB, DB, DB) appearing to slow down on a touchdown run."I think he knew once 52 (Willis) was nowhere in the vicinity that no one was going to catch him," Fisher said. "Willis on the field yesterday was the only one that could catch him. I have to compliment him and his play because I have not seen an effort out of a linebacker like I've seen out of the effort out of him."C.J. would have had three more touchdowns yesterday had he not been on the field. It was an outstanding defensive effort by Patrick Willis." (Santa Rosa Press Democrat)
FF Today's Take: And the legend (and fan base) of Patrick Willis continues to grow. Willis already is viewed as one of the best linebackers in the game - if not the best - and is one of the few players in the NFL today whose level of talent is matched by his level of effort. When all is said and done, Willis may very well be mentioned in the same breath with names such as Butkus and his current coach, Mike Singletary.
Titans coach praises Willis
According to the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, Titans coach Jeff Fisher had some very complimentary things to say about 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis.
Our View: After seeing him play for the first time in Week 9, Fisher stated that Willis was the only man capable of keeping Chris Johnson in check. "I think he knew once 52 (Willis) was nowhere in the vicinity that no one was going to catch him," Fisher said. "Willis on the field yesterday was the only one that could catch him. I have to compliment him and his play because I have not seen an effort out of a linebacker like I've seen out of the effort out of him. "C.J. would have had three more touchdowns yesterday had he not been on the field. It was an outstanding defensive effort by Patrick Willis." Those are big words from Fisher and help cement the fact that Willis is one of the best IDP performers in the fantasy world.

Johnson continued his amazing fantasy season by running for
Johnson continued his amazing fantasy season by running for 135 yards and two scores - missing out on an 81-yard gallop after it was ruled he stepped out of bounds - to lead the Titans to a 34-27 win in San Francisco on Sunday.
Impacts: Johnson has become a threat to score every time he touches the ball, and he already has four scores of at least 50 yards this season. A must-start every week, regardless of the Titans' struggles.
Titans-49ers one-liners
The Titans forced four turnovers and racked up four sacks during their 34-27 victory. RB Chris Johnson's go-ahead touchdown came when the Titans called an option play with QB Vince Young. Titans WR Justin Gage has returned to prominence since...
Another huge game for C. Johnson
News: Titans RB Chris Johnson had a monster day on Sunday in a Week 9 win over the 49ers on the road. He carried the ball for a total of 125 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries. He added three receptions for 25 yards as well. Six plays after his 81-yard touchdown run was overturned, Chris Johnson took a pitch from Vince Young and scurried 2 yards for a go-ahead score and led the Titans to their second straight win with a 34-27 victory over the stumbling 49ers on Sunday. He added a 1-yard run in the third quarter for his second score. [...]
White musters just three yards
LenDale White carried the ball four times and gained just three yards in Sunday's 34-27 win over the 49ers.
Our View: Chris Johnson has essentially made White obsolete in Tennessee. He has just one touchdown on the season and had never received more than ten carries or totaled more than 51 yards in any game this season. It might be time to unload him.
Young quietly leads Titans to victory
Vince Young completed 12 of just 19 passes for 172 yards and no touchdowns in Sunday's 34-27 win over the 49ers.
Our View: Young did manage to find the end zone with his feet on Sunday though, scoring on a seven-yard rush in the second quarter. He stayed away from fumbles and interceptions, which was a positive and led to a rare Titans win, but Chris Johnson did the majority of the work in this one. Young is still too inconsistent and doesn't air the ball out enough to be considered a fantasy worthy starter.
Johnson racks up 135 and two scores
Chris Johnson powered the Titans to a win on Sunday with 135 yards and two touchdowns against the 49ers.
Our View: Johnson racked up his four 100-yard effort of the season and raised his total touchdown tally to seven on the year. He rushed 25 times, averaging 5.4 yards per carry and broke off an impressive 41 yard run that set up a Titan touchdown. He continues to be one of the most electric running backs in the league.
Titans | C. Johnson scores twice Week 9

Tackle Stewart should play
David Stewart (hamstring) is expected to play on Sunday despite missing practice on Friday, according to the Nashville Tennessean.
Our View: He's one of Chris Johnson's main blockers, so this is obviously good news, especially considering that the Titans will be going up against the NFL's second ranked run defense in the 49ers this weekend.

Titans | Johnson looking to reach season milestone
Terry McCormick, of the Nashville City Paper, reports Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson said his goal is to rush for 2,000 yards this season and has given his offensive line incentive to reach that goal by promising cars to them. "It’s a goal of mine," Johnson said. "It’s a real goal of the offensive line, because I told them that if I get 2,000 yards, I’d buy them all cars. So they’re really trying to do that."
CJ utilizing 'Ferrari' speed
News: Tennessee cornerback Cortland Finnegan is fast, very fast. And he refuses to even think about racing teammate Chris Johnson. Not even for fun. "There's some things you just don't do," Finnegan said with a smile. "A Ferrari and a Toyota Corolla will not race. I feel like I'll be a Toyota Corolla. I'm not going to race a Ferrari." Johnson is the speedy second-year running back from East Carolina who is leaving defenders in his wake. He's leading the NFL in yards rushing (824) and yards per carry with a whopping 6.9 average, and was the AFC offensive player of the week Wednesday for his franchise-record 228 yards rushing in last week's 30-13 win over Jacksonville. Call it arrogant, but Johnson said he hasn't seen anyone match his speed -- measured at 4.24 seconds in a 40-yard dash -- yet in the NFL. "I'm not all about my speed. I can make people miss. I can break tackles," he said. [...]

Johnson set a franchise record by rushing for 228 yards and two touchdowns - scoring on runs of 52 and 89 yards - and the Titans won their first game of the season by routing the Jacksonville Jaguars 30-13 Sunday.
Impacts: The Titans are having a woeful season but Johnson isn't. His big day - the highest rushing total in the NFL since Adrian Peterson had 296 against San Diego in November 2007 - gives him an NFL-best 824 yards on the ground. He's also averaging a league-leading 6.9 yards per carry.
