Our View: Wow. After spending the entire summer assuming that Favre was going to quarterback the Vikings this season, this story is a shocker. The latest news out of the cottage Brett Favre comeback industry has the legendary quarterback supposedly holding out for more money from the team he has never taken a snap for, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Our View: Favre is reportedly in position to command around $10 million a season, while the Vikings would be more comfortable with an incentive laden deal. It's hard to believe someone who threw a league leading 22 interceptions in 2008 could command that much money, but the Vikes will likely have no choice but to pay it. Whenever Favre does officially say he's playing, don't move him too far up your draft board. He has a limited amount of weapons to work with in the Twin Cities, and is coming off a dreadful 2008. There are many better options out there.

Our View: Favre has yet to make a decision on whether he'll play this season and he likely wants to see if his arm will hold up for a full season. He apparently warned the Vikings that his decision may be delayed, which could make him a late addition to training camp that breaks on July 30th. Favre reportedly threw about 100 balls in a pretty intense training session and said he felt some definite pain and inconsistency.
