Marshall hates Denver
A new report from TheDenverChannel.com is reporting that Broncos' wide receiver Brandon Marshall told police that he hated the city of Denver during his 2007 arrest. "I hate Denver. I hope I get traded. I hate this f******* city," Marshall was quoted as saying in the police report.
Our View: It looks like Marshall wanted out two years ago already, although he probably would have said that in the police station of any city he was being arrested in. The bad PR for Marshall just keeps on coming, and it will be very interesting to see how his season goes if he stays in Denver next year.
Broncos holding strong on Marshall
The Broncos intend to hold their stance of refusing to honor Brandon Marshall's trade request, according to ESPN.
Our View: Marshall covets a new contract and may not show up for training camp, but the Broncos do not seem concerned as of now. It remains to be seen if the club would deal him if presented with a great offer.

Cutler praises Marshall
According to ProFootballTalk.com, Bears' quarterback Jay Cutler told the media at a youth football camp that he would like to play with Brandon Marshall again. "I think he can be one of the greatest to ever play. He's big and fast, and can do everything you want him to do, on the field and in the meeting room."
Our View: Of course Cutler would like to play with Marshall again, but there is no way the Bears and Broncos throw down on another high profile trade like this. It looks like Cutler will not be getting any major additions to his receiving corps, so he better get used to throwing to Devin Hester and Earl Bennett.

Marshall still holding out
According to the Denver Post, Brandon Marshall is continuing his holdout.
Our View: The Brandon Marshall saga continues. He returned to the Denver area to run a free football camp for kids, but was scheduled to fly back to Orlando Friday to continue not playing for the Broncos. Apparently no progress has been made and Marshall's presence is in jeopardy at training camp in July.

Ravens interested in Marshall?
The Ravens have reportedly garnered interest in Broncos' receiver Brandon Marshall, according to the Baltimore Sun.
Our View: The AFC North rival Browns are also believed to be interested in Marshall. The Ravens covet a top receiver to complement Derrick Mason. Quarterback Joe Flacco's fantasy stock would rise if the Ravens work out a deal to acquire the elite receiver from Denver.

Cutler On Marshall: “He’s A Great Player”
Peppered with multiple questions about wide receivers Brandon Marshall and Plaxico Burress, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler stuck with the company line about the team’s need for an upgrade at wide receiver. Cutler claimed that wide receiver Devin Hester is a true No. 1 wide receiver. And he didn’t delve much into rumors surrounding the Bears’ potential interest in Marshall, who has [...]
Handling Of Hip A Huge Concern For Marshall
Though his current contract and his ability to get in line for a huge one without Jay Cutler throwing passes present major concerns for Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall, a very significant issue that largely has been overlooked to date arises from the manner in which team doctors handled Marshall’s hip injury last season. (Dave Kreiger [...]
Broncos Don’t Plan To Trade Marshall
We’ve continued to hear, from well-placed sources (as opposed to our usual “dude who replaces the toilet paper”), that the Denver Broncos will not be trading receiver Brandon Marshall. It could be puffing. We understand that. But the point is that there apparently won’t be a “get what we can and move on” approach in this [...]
Denver WR Brandon Marshall, who skipped the Broncos' mandatory
News: Denver WR Brandon Marshall, who skipped the Broncos' mandatory minicamp last weekend in a contract dispute, is holding a two-day youth football camp for 500 kids ages 7-18 at a local high school. If he gets his way, Marshall's camp in Colorado next summer will be as a visiting player. Marshall, who said he's been working out at his alma mater, Central Florida, participated in some of the on-field work at his camp, which consisted strictly of no-contact drills. Dressed in red sweats, Marshall jogged a lap with the kids and took part in some stretching before helping teach football skills to the enthusiastic boys and girls. This week, Marshall posted a farewell to Denver fans on his blog even as coach Josh McDaniels was saying he looked forward to seeing Marshall at training camp next month. And Marshall's agent, Kennard McGuire, said team owner Pat Bowlen had told his client that he would try to accommodate his trade request. [...]

Marshall says goodbye on blog
Brandon Marshall has posted a goodbye message to Broncos fans on his blog according to the Associated Press.
Our View: This seems awful presumptuous for a player who will be difficult to trade because of character problems playing for a team who still says they are not trading him. As always with these NFL soap operas, wait and see.

Marshall on Browns' radar?
There is a rumor swirling that the Broncos could deal star receiver Brandon Marshall to the Browns, according to ProFootballTalk.com.
Our View: The rumor suggests that Josh Cribbs and draft picks could be sent to Denver in a trade for Marshall. If Marshall did land in Cleveland, they would have a tremendous duo at receiver if Braylon Edwards remains with the club. AFC North rival Baltimore is also believed to be interested in Marshall.
Brandon To The Browns?
The rumor mill continues to churn regarding potential destinations for Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall. Last night, we heard that the Ravens might be interested. Tonight, we’re hearing rumblings of Brandon possibly being traded to the Browns. The package would include, per the rumor, Browns kick returner/receiver Josh Cribbs and one or more draft picks. Such a move also [...]

News: The Denver Post reports that contrary to a statement made by the agent for disgruntled WR Brandon Marshall, the Broncos appear to be ready to hang on to their prized receiver. "We met after Pat's meeting with Brandon and are going to continue our dialogue with Brandon and his representative," said Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels. "We look forward to having Brandon at training camp." Earlier, agent Kennard McGuire told KDVR-TV that "there was a request for a trade. Mr. Bowlen has said that ownership will do everything in its power to accommodate his wishes." Marshall wants out of Denver after the team failed to give him a new contract and after they misdiagnosed his hip injury, which required offseason surgery. Marshall has missed the team's minicamps while rehabbing with his doctors in Orlando. [...]
Marshall's trade request confirmed
Brandon Marshall's trade request has been confirmed by his agent, according to ESPN. His agent (Kennard McGuire) said, "There was a meeting with Mr. Bowlen and Brandon did ask to be traded. He was told by ownership that the team would do everything in its power to accommodate those wishes. We do feel that a change of scenery is not only important but necessary."
Our View: The Bears need a No. 1 receiver and would likely love to reunite quarterback Jay Cutler with Marshall - but the Broncos' asking price may be more than the club can afford. The fantasy stock of quarterback Kyle Orton would drop if Marshall is shipped out of Denver as well.
Broncos To Brandon: “See You In Camp”
We mentioned earlier today that we’ve heard that the Broncos do not plan to trade receiver Brandon Marshall. Though it might be posturing in order to drive up the trade value, the team is now adopting this stance for the rest of the NFL world to see. ”We look forward to having Brandon at training camp,” coach [...]

In addition, Adam Schefter, who will join ESPN in August, reported Monday on KOA in Denver that Brandon Marshall requested the trade during a meeting Friday. Marshall's agent, Kennard McGuire, did not return phone messages Monday.Mancini’s Take: There’s no reason to make a big whoop over the B.Lloyd signing. Mr. Bowlen has said that ownership will do everything in its power to accommodate his wishes," agent Kennard McGuire said. Marshall is holding out as he rehabs from offseason hip surgery that he says was misdiagnosed by Broncos doctors. He's also interested in a contract extension as he's in the last year of his contract. [...]

Broncos WR Brandon Marshall, who was supposed to attend the
News: Broncos WR Brandon Marshall, who was supposed to attend the team's minicamp even though he's rehabbing from March 31 hip surgery, faces tens of thousands of dollars in fines for going AWOL. The star receiver has since requested a trade and has yet to back off his request. Marshall has been rehabbing under the care of his personal doctors back home in Orlando, Fla. Marshall's issue with the team is primarily about money but he also has cited a lack of trust in Denver's medical staff for not wanting to rehab at team headquarters following what he has called a misdiagnosis of his hip injury last year. In his most recent posting on his Web site, Marshall wrote: "It's kind of funny now but some of my coaches thought I was getting 'big-headed' and just didn't want to practice but I needed some fine tuning. What made last year so weird was that I got two MRIs, one in camp and the second around week six and was told nothing was wrong but come to find out THERE WAS A BIT OF A PROBLEM after all. LOL. I guess that's part of the business. So after all that, I'm now even more excited about playing this season at 100 percent. This year I can help my team more and hopefully we can get to the playoffs." [...]
Broncos in no hurry to trade Marshall
The Denver Post is reporting that the Broncos are in no hurry to trade star wideout Brandon Marshall despite his trade request. The report indicates that the Broncos seem intent on waiting Marshall out due to the fact that there are several other high profile receivers who are unhappy with their deals and they are still with their respective teams.
Our View: One would think that there is no way the Broncos would trade Marshall after the Jay Cutler fiasco earlier this offseason, but at this point it is hard to tell what the team is thinking. The most likely scenario has Marshall staying in Denver, so don't be shocked to see him in a Broncos' uniform next season.
Marshall Doesn’t Have Much Leverage
As rumors fly that Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall will continue to push for a trade, there are a couple of key points that he needs to keep in mind. First, he’s not a quarterback. Though Jay Cutler was able to talk (or, more accurately, not talk) his way out of town, the Broncos might be more [...]

Royal turning heads in practice
Eddie Royal has been turning heads during minicamp with the Broncos, according to Denver Post. He has been their top offensive player on the practice field.
Our View: Royal hauled in 91 receptions as a rookie, and could meet or exceed those totals in his sophomore campaign while working in Josh McDaniels' offense. Royal could potentially become the Broncos' top target if Brandon Marshall is traded as well.

There are rumors swirling that Brandon Marshall could be dealt to the Ravens, according to ProFootballTalk.com.
Our View: The Ravens covet a top No. 1 receiver to pair with vet Derrick Mason. Marshall reportedly requested a trade, but Denver is yet to comment. The Broncos shipped star quarterback Jay Cutler to Chicago, and perhaps Marshall does not have faith in new starter Kyle Orton.

Brandon Marshall has requested a trade according to KOA.
Our View: This might finally be the end of the line for the gifted, but troubled, wide receiver in Denver. Without Jay Cutler, it was already unclear how valuable Marshall would be this season. News: NFL insider Adam Schefter told KOA-AM in Denver that Broncos WR Brandon Marshall asked for a trade out of town when he met with team owner Pat Bowlen on Friday. Marshall was a no-show for the three-day mandatory minicamp the Broncos held last weekend as he continues to rehab from hip surgery in Orlando, where the volatile receiver has spent the majority of his offseason. He is upset with the club over his contract -- he's in the final year of his deal and wants an extension -- as well as with how their trainers misdiagnosed his hip injury last season. Without an extension, he reportedly won't consult with the Broncos' trainers. According to Schefter, Bowlen tried to calm Marshall down, telling him to think his options out before following through with his requests, but Marshall wouldn't budge from his stance and wants to be dealt. [...]

Brandon Marshall Shows Up, Then Leaves
These are confusing times for the Denver Broncos. Weeks after franchise quarterback Jay Cutler pissed-and-moaned his way out of town, elite receiver Brandon Marshall could soon be an ex-Bronco, too. Marshall not attending camp this weekend
Updating a previous report, Broncos' disgruntled wide receiver Brandon Marshall met with team owner Pat Bowlen on Friday and left the team's practice facility after, according to the Denver Post. Marshall is not expected to attend any of this weekend's mandatory minicamp sessions while recovering from hip surgery and disputing his contract.
Our View: It was thought that Marshall was coming to make amends with the team, but obviously that was not the case. It remains to be seen if Marshall will attend training camp, but there is still a very small possibility that the Broncos will try to move him if they can't get him into camp. Stay tuned, as this situation is far from over.

McDaniels also hinted that Marshall will be fined for missing the start of minicamp and that he knows why Marshall chose not to show up. Marshall has spent the majority of his offseason in Orlando recovering from offseason hip surgery and is upset with the club over his contract -- he's in the final year of his deal and wants an extension -- as well as with how their trainers misdiagnosed his hip injury last season. Marshall is a no-show at a mandatory minicamp. Coach Josh McDaniels said Friday he would meet with Marshall later in the day to discuss his absence.
Impacts: Marshall had hip surgery on April 1 and missed part of the Broncos' offseason passing camp. Because of the surgery, Marshall wasn't expected to work out during Friday's minicamp, but team officials said he was required to attend meetings and work with medical personnel.
Marshall to meet with McDaniels
Updating a previous report, DenverBroncos.com is reporting that wide receiver Brandon Marshall will report to the team's facility Friday afternoon for a meeting with coach Josh McDaniels. Marshall was not in attendance for Friday morning's mandatory camp session.
Our View: McDaniels didn't want to say much regarding Marshall, but it has to be a good sign that he is in town and reporting to a meeting with the coach. Since he can't practice anyway, it would appear that Marshall will be in attendance for the entire weekend, but that hasn't been confirmed yet. We will update this situation as more info is released.

According to ProFootballTalk.com, Broncos' wide receiver Brandon Marshall was not in attendance for the team's first day of mandatory minicamp on Friday. Marshall is recovering from hip surgery and would not have been able to practice, but he could be fined for not showing up.
Our View: Marshall's absence seems to indicate that he is holding out, as he has told the Broncos he would like a new contract. Marshall has said all along that his absence from the team's voluntary workouts were not due to his contract situation, but it looks now as if that is the case. It will be interesting to see when and if Marshall reports to Denver, and we will keep you updated on his status.

ESPN’s recent Outside The Lines report focusing on the allegations of Rasheedah Watley against Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall portrayed Watley as the victim and Marshall as the villain. And [...]

League may wait on suspension for Marshall
The Denver Post is reporting that Commissioner Roger Goodell is expected to wait to discipline Brandon Marshall until the verdict of his court case is known. Marshall has been charged with misdemeanor battery for striking his former girlfriend, a charge which he has adamantly denied.
Our View: Marshall could avoid punishment from the league if he sees the trial through and is found not guilty, but chances are he will miss some time this season due to the incident. Marshall in Hot Water

The report suggests that Marshall is abusive and Watley is an innocent victim. Marshall is currently engaged to Michi Nogami.

Status: Probable. Will play
Brandon Marshall got into a "shouting-and-shoving" match with Knowshon Moreno after the rookie's goal-line fumble in the second quarter Sunday. Marshall got in Moreno's face and started berating him, at which point Moreno gave him a shove in the chest. Moreno had to be restrained from going after Marshall at one point, and Marshall later admitted that he may have "handled it wrong." Moreno's gaffe was certainly a momentum killer, though it could have easily been ruled a touchdown as opposed to a fumble.
