Mike Chappell, of The Indianapolis Star, reports Indianapolis Colts SS Bob Sanders (knee) should be in the starting lineup at strong safety against the San Diego Chargers. Whether his knee can hold up is a question, as it still occasionally swells following extensive action.

Status: I.R.. Out for season
Colts president Bill Polian said that Bob Sanders (injured reserve, biceps) will be back next season as long as Sanders' recovery goes well. Polian called all of Sanders' injuries bad luck and said the strong safety was playing at an elite level before going down. Still, considering how well the Colts' secondary has played without Sanders and his monster contract that runs through 2012, don't be surprised if they shop or eventually cut him.
