Adam Carriker has been slowed by shoulder and ankle injuries throughout the season, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Carriker said, "It's been about three years since I've missed any game time, since I've really had to deal with injuries. Not since my first couple of years at Nebraska. But it's football. As long as I'm able to get out on the field, I just do the best I can."Carriker is a solid defensive tackle, but his injuries have limited him to only 17 tackles and no sacks this season. He is looking forward to resting in the off-season and expects to bounce back strong in 2009.

Status: I.R.. Out for season
Rams DT Adam Carriker, who is on injured reserve, will undergo surgery Wednesday to repair a torn muscle in his right shoulder. Carriker's rehab time is about four months. It's his second shoulder operation in the last 20 months, but he should be good to go for next year's camp.
