Rodgers limited Wednesday
Aaron Rodgers was limited by a foot injury in practice on Wednesday, according to Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
Our View: There is a zero percent chance he will be out for the Favre Bowl this Sunday. Teams have been throwing the ball well of late against Minnesota's defense, and especially playing in front of such a charged atmosphere, Rodgers should have another big game.

Rodgers posted a career-best 155.4 quarterback rating in the Packers' 31-3 rout of Cleveland on Sunday. He completed 15 of 20 passes for 246 yards and a season-high three touchdowns.
Impacts: Rodgers is having another solid year as he is sixth in the NFL with 1,702 yards and in averaging 283.7 yards over the Packers' six games. He's also thrown a touchdown in every game with 11 this season, and he has just two interceptions in 184 attempts.
Finley set for an MRI
Jermichael Finley will undergo an MRI on his injured left knee on Monday, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette.
Our View: Head coach Mike McCarthy says his injury is his "biggest concern" heading into this weekend's Brett Favre bowl in Green Bay. Finley has 17 catches for 260 yards this season, and is slowly developing into one of Aaron Rodgers' favorite targets. Stay tuned.

Clifton doubtful
Chad Clifton (ankle) is doubtful for Sunday against the Browns, according to Greg A. Bedard of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Our View: A nice break for the Browns, and another bad one for the Packers' beleaguered offensive line. Even against a woeful Cleveland team, things won't be easy for Aaron Rodgers this Sunday.
Wimbley limited
Kamerion Wimbley was limited during Thursday's practice while dealing with an illness, according to the Browns' official website. He did not practice yesterday.
Our View: The outside linebacker is one of Cleveland's best pass rushers, and they cannot afford for him to be ailing while contending with quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the Packers this weekend.

Despite getting knocked around again, Rodgers threw for 358
Despite getting knocked around again, Rodgers threw for 358 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in Green Bay's 26-0 win over Detroit on Sunday.
Impacts: Green Bay's offensive line gave up five more sacks in yet another shaky performance, left tackle Chad Clifton hurt his ankle again and the Packers left plenty of points on the field in the red zone. Rodgers put two quick touchdowns on the board, the first a 47-yarder to James Jones and the second 1-yard pass to fullback John Kuhn. But the offense fell into a lull after that, at one point settling for four straight field goals on drives inside the Detroit 30-yard line.

Rodgers guns down Lions at Lambeau
Aaron Rodgers gunned down the Lions in today's 26-0 win over the Lions at Lambeau Field, as he completed 29-of-37 passes for 358 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception.
Our View: Rodgers continues to roll, as he threw two touchdown passes in three straight games, and topped 300 yards twice over the span. The Packers were coming off their bye today.

Rodgers shakes off sacks, Packers beat Lions 26-0
Aaron Rodgers got knocked around again but still managed to have a big day against the Detroit Lions' defense, throwing for 358 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in the Green Bay Packers' 26-0 victory Sunday.
Rodgers facing weakened Lions defense this weekend
The Packers' Week 6 opponent, the Detroit Lions, had three defensive lineman absent from practice on Thursday, according to the Detroit Free Press.
Our View: All three are question marks for Sunday. What does this mean for Aaron Rodgers? Maybe an easy day for once. Rodgers has been under siege all season long because of the Packers' underwhelming offensive line, but with three of the Lions' starting front four hobbled, he could get the time he needs this weekend to pick apart Detroit's defense.
Packers | Jennings would like more passes to come his way
The Associated Press reports Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings said he would like to have more passes thrown his way but understands that it is difficult for QB Aaron Rodgers to consistently throw his way when he is pressured so much.
Packers | Rodgers does not want to call out OL
The Associated Press reports Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers said he does not want to publicly call out his offensive line because he trusts the line and calling them out would not do any good. "I trust those guys. I love those guys. They take care of me, I take care of them. That's the way it goes. We have a tight-knit relationship. Nothing gets done when you do something like that publicly," Rodgers said.
Pack QB Rodgers won't criticize porous protection
Even after getting sacked a league-worst 20 times and taking plenty of hits in the Green Bay Packers' first four games, Aaron Rodgers isn't about to complain about his porous protection.

Jennings getting frustrated
According to the team's official website, packers' wide receiver Greg Jennings admitted on Monday that he is getting frustrated the his lack of opportunities so far this season. Jennings said that the team will make an effort to get him the ball more coming out of their bye week.
Our View: The big reason Jennings isn't getting the ball is because Aaron Rodgers is getting enough protection to get it down field. Jennings and Rodgers could be a lethal combo if the Packers can find a way to get their QB some protection, so don't give up on Jennings just yet.
Pack signs Tauscher
ProFootballTalk.com is reporting that the Packers have officially brought back veteran offensive lineman Mark Tauscher. Tauscher worked out with the team last week, but the team waited to sign him until after the bye week to avoid paying him last week's salary.
Our View: The packers have struggled mightily on the O-line, allowing 20 sacks of stud QB Aaron Rodgers already this season. Tauscher isn't going to fix all the problems, but he will provide experience and depth and should help the line improve as the season goes on.
NFL: Jennings Struggling in Green Bay
According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Packers receivers coach Jimmy Robinson attributes Greg Jennings' slow start to the constant pressure on Aaron Rodgers. Jennings simply doesn't have the time to get downfield with Rodgers running for his life on every play.

Rodgers completed 26 of 37 passes for a career-high 384 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in the Packers' 30-23 loss to the Vikings on Monday.
Impacts: Although Rodgers threw for a lot of yards, most of it came in desperation down the stretch. He was also under pressure all game, getting sacked eight times. Rodgers has been sacked an NFL-worst 20 times. The Packers have a bye next week.
Tauscher returning to Packers?
Head coach Mike McCarthy stated that Mark Tauscher will be returning to the Packers if things work out (like him passing a physical), according to Greg A. Bedard's (Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel) twitter page.
Our View: The Packers offensive line is banged up, which led to Aaron Rodgers taking eight sacks in Monday night's loss to Minnesota. Tauscher auditioned for the Chiefs last week, but left town without a deal.
Colledge should be fine by Week 6
Daryn Colledge should be over the knee injury that forced him out of Monday night's game by Week 6, according to Tom Pelissero of the Green Bay Press Gazette.
Our View: Green Bay has a bye in Week 5. It would be great news for the Packers as Chad Clifton is likely to be healthy by then, as well. The Packers' offensive line, in addition to being beleaguered, has been mightily banged up of late. The more healthy bodies to protect Aaron Rodgers, the better.
Clifton to be ready by Week 6
Chad Clifton (ankle) is expected to be able to play again by Week 6, according to Tom Pelissero of the Green Bay Press Gazette.
Our View: Green Bay has a Week 5 bye. He has been out since Week 2. His replacement, Daryn Colledge, got banged up last night - a night in which Aaron Rodgers was sacked eight times - so Clifton's return can only be good news for the Packers.
Rodgers leads the NFL in sacks taken
Aaron Rodgers has been sacked 20 times through the first four games of the season, more than any quarterback in the league.
Our View: Some say Rodgers is prone to holding the ball too long, but at most, that's probably responsible for only four or five of the sacks he's taken. Basically, if the Packers' offensive line doesn't improve, and quickly, he might not make it through the season. It's a testament to his talent that he has still been able to throw for 1,098 yards, sixth in the league, despite all the pressure he's been under.

Jared Allen punishes Rodgers
Jared Allen was a terror for quarterback Aaron Rodgers in Monday night's 30-23 win over the Packers at the Metrodome, as the elite defensive end notched 4.5 sacks. He also collected seven tackles (six solo) and a forced fumble.
Our View: Allen has at least one sack in each of his last three games, with 6.5 total sacks over the span. He should remain a difference maker among defensive lineman in IDP leagues.

Rodgers performs well in losing effort
Aaron Rodgers performed well in Monday night's 30-23 loss at rival Minnesota, as he completed 26-of-37 passes for 384 yards, with two touchdowns and an interception. His first touchdown pass hit tight end Jermichael Finley for 62 yards.
Our View: Rodgers had his best game of the season, despite leaving the Metrodome with a loss. He topped 300 yards for the first time in 2009, and fired two touchdown passes in each of his last two games.

Clifton out Monday
Chad Clifton (ankle) missed Packers practice again on Saturday, and will not play Monday against the Vikings, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette.
Our View: Aaron Rodgers will now officially be without his left tackle in a huge early season showdown. With the offensive line being such a problem for the Packers so far this season, it can't bode well for his production against a fearsome Vikings defense.
Clifton misses practice again
Chad Clifton (ankle) was again absent from Packers practice on Friday, according to NFL.com.
Our View: The left tackle is certainly looking unlikely for Monday night at this point. This will only make life harder for Aaron Rodgers, as the Packers' offensive line has been a problem so far in 2009. After getting a reprieve against the Rams in Week 3, they will get no such thing in Minnesota.
