News: Suns F/C Channing Frye, who is replacing Shaquille O'Neal in the starting lineup this season, scored a season-low nine points Tuesday at Miami. It was by far his worst game of the season. He's averaging 17.0 points and 4.8 rebounds in four games.

Analysis: Frye has emerged as one of the better early-season sleepers in Fantasy, offering all the numbers you'd expect for a big man, as well as some 3-pointers. He deserves a flier in all Fantasy leagues as a No. 2 center

Suns center Channing Frye finished a win over Miami with just nine points on 4-of-11 shooting, one 3-pointer, two rebounds and three turnovers. Reality check -- Channing Frye isn't going to average six 3-pointers per game this season. Team will have him thoroughly scouted before long, if they don't already, and some up-and-down production is to be expected. Just hang onto him, because his sweet stroke is for real.

Amare Stoudemire hit 10-of-21 shots for season-highs in points (25) and rebounds (14) in Wednesday's ugly loss to the Magic. We're not quite sure how Amare came out with such a good line while the rest of the starters really struggle, but it could be an indication that STAT is rounding into form.

According to coach Alvin Gentry, Earl Clark's hustle may earn him minutes in the Suns' rotation. Clark posted two blocked shots in his preseason game against the Trailblazers and has demonstrated progress in help defense. Griffin got a start Monday in the town where he played his college ball, scoring four points with three rebounds in 18 minutes of court time against Oklahoma City.

Suns rookie Taylor Griffin started on Monday but had just four points, three rebounds and three fouls in 18 minutes. The Suns frontcourt is shallow, but not nearly shallow enough for the lesser Griffin to have fantasy relevance. And he didn't help his case with this lackluster performance.

Second-round pick Taylor Griffin has inked an undisclosed deal with the Suns, according to the Associated Press.

Our View: Griffin averaged 9.6 points and 5.8 rebounds as a senior at Oklahoma while playing alongside with brother Blake, who was the No. 1 pick of the draft (Clippers). He averaged 6.2 points, three boards and one steal over five games with the Suns in the Summer League, and does not look to make an impact in fantasy leagues in 2009-10.

Dragic got a chance at significant court time Wednesday and responded, scoring 15 points with six assists, four rebounds and two threes in over 30 minutes of court time.

Spin: The Suns' starters dug an early hole, giving the second unit a chance to shine. Dragic is still learning the ropes behind Steve Nash, but he's at least showing he's capable of producing when called upon.Thu, Nov 5

Goran Dragic hit 5-of-10 shots and two 3-pointers on his way to 15 points, four boards and six assists in a blowout loss to the Magic. The Suns were simply awful in the second half and a few bench players benefited by some extra run, and Dragic was obviously one of them. Ignore him for now in fantasy leagues.

News: Suns PG Goran Dragic saw 30 minutes on the court on Wednesday in a loss to Orlando. He scored 15 points in the game on 5 of 10 shooting and hit two threes. He added four rebounds and six assists.

Analysis: Dragic out-assisted Steve Nash on Wednesday. He has at least three assists in all but one game played this season thus far and Wednesday was the first time he saw more than 13 minutes on the court. This increase in playing time could mean bigger and better things going forward for Dragic but until we see proof of that, continue using him only as a reserve in the deepest of Fantasy leagues

News: Phoenix SG Leandro Barbosa did not play on Friday at Boston as expected as he deals with a wrist injury. Barbosa told the Arizona Republic that the wrist was "way better but it's still bothering me." He said he feels pain, a "pop," when he shoots. "I think I'm gong to wait one more game," Barbosa said.

Analysis: The Suns' next game is at Washington on Sunday, giving him a week since his last game against Minnesota. It does sound like he should be able to play Sunday and would be a safe play for the team's upcoming four-game slate in Fantasy Week 3 (Nov. 9-15). See if he plays Sunday before making a decision on him for the upcoming scoring period

Barbosa (wrist) will practice with the Suns on Saturday and could play in their game on Sunday, the Arizona Republic reports.

Spin: Barbosa's wrist has improved, but he doesn't want to return until he is completely healthy. "It's way better but it's still bothering me," Barbosa said. "I know they want me to play. I want to play. I want to make sure when I'm back, I'm back for the rest of the season."Fri, Nov 6
