The longest-tenured player on the Magic, Jonathan Isaac proved in Miami why he can still serve as a defensive X-factor off the Orlando bench. "It was about how he changed the game with his energy and his defense," coach Jamahl Mosley said.

The Phoenix Suns have waived Chasson Randle.

He was just on a training camp deal and this makes sense given Phoenix is already set at point guard, especially since they added Elfrid Payton for extra relief this offseason.

Phoenix now has 14 players locked in and one of the two-way deals has already been taken by Chandler Hutchison, so it’s up to Randle to impress in camp to make the final cut. He averaged a career-high 6.5 points per game in 41 games with Orlando last season, so it’s probably safe to say that he won’t have a fantasy impact even if he snags that 15th and final roster spot in Phoenix. 

The Suns are signing free-agent guard Chasson Randle to a training camp deal according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. 

Randle suited up for Orlando last season providing some relief as the Magic dealt with backcourt injuries throughout the regular season. The Suns already have three point guards with CP3, Cameron Payne and Elfrid Payton, so it is unlikely that he makes the opening day roster unless Phoenix plans on playing him off the ball.

Ennis produced 11 points (4-7 FG, 3-4 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and one steal across 29 minutes Thursday in a 103-96 loss to the Spurs in Game 6 of the series.

After the Grizzlies took double-digit losses in the first two games of the series, Ennis ended up replacing Wayne Selden in the starting lineup. Ennis' promotion to the top unit seemed to help give the Grizzlies a bit of a lift, as the wing averaged 10.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.5 three-pointers and 1.0 assist in 28.0 minutes per game over the final four contests of the series. Ennis benefited from an increased workload in the postseason due to the absences of Tony Allen (leg) and Chandler Parsons (knee), but if the Grizzlies don't re-sign Allen this offseason, Ennis could be a candidate to open 2017-18 in a starting role.

Ennis totaled 12 points (4-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal over 20 minutes during Thursday's 105-94 win over the Spurs in Game 3 of the Western Conference first-round playoffs.

Ennis was part of the first-unit shakeup that coach David Fizdale opted to implement for Game 3, and he provided solid returns with a modest amount of playing time. The third-year swingman actually saw six fewer minutes than in Game 2 but was much more efficient, draining 66 percent of his shots and producing a series-high scoring total in the process. The player he displaced in the starting five, Wayne Selden, was productive off the bench as well, so Fizdale could opt to go with either on the first unit for Saturday's Game 4.

Ennis will draw the start for Thursday's Game 3 matchup against the Spurs, Rob Fischer of FOX Sports Southeast reports.

With the team down 0-2 in the series, the Grizzlies will opt to change things up, inserting Ennis into the starting five. Wayne Selden will likely head to the bench as a result and see a lesser role.
