Our View: Shaq managed 14 points and 10 rebounds in his 31 minutes of play and threw up his arms to block an impressive five shots in the contest. He hit 7-of-13 shots from the field, but amazingly was never fouled and failed to reach the free throw line. The double-double was his second of the season.

O'Neal scored 14 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the floor Thursday night while playing 30 minutes.

Spin: O'Neal had a big night on the defensive end, with five blocks. O'Neal was also able to pull down 10 rebounds, making that his first double-double since opening night. The five blocks against Chicago gives O'Neal 11 blocks in the last four games.Thu, Nov 5

The NBA is expected to upgrade Shaquille O'Neal's hard personal foul against DeShawn Stevenson on Tuesday to a flagrant foul. With the Wizards leading 41-28, Stevenson was driving to the basket when O'Neal stepped up and knocked Stevenson to the floor. James had a typically dominant performance at Madison Square Garden against the Knicks on Friday, totaling 33 points, nine assists, eight rebounds and three steals. He injured his right hand during the game, but an X-ray afterward was negative, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Spin: LeBron knocked down 12 of his 17 field-goal attempts, so clearly his hand wasn't bothering him too much. Considering the Cavs have four off days before returning to action on Wednesday, it's highly unlikely that he'll miss any time.Fri, Nov 6

LeBron James scored 33 points to go along with eight rebounds, nine assists, three steals and two 3-pointers, but also had an X-ray taken on his shooting hand after the win in New York Friday. X-rays were negative and he's reportedly good to go, but his shooting hand is obviously bothering him. Well, maybe not so obviously, as he hit 12-of-17 shots in a cakewalk over the Knicks.

J.J. Hickson's new starting role has even more power, espially with Lebron James approving of the new change, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Spin: Coach Mike Brown wanted to get Hickson in the lineup more with James to try to get him going a little faster. The new move mainly creates a much needed improvement off the bench in which the Cavaliers were lacking. Hickson, though still young is very talented. Playing with James more will definitely allow Hickson to put up better numbers. If you have Anderson Varejao, it may be worth handcuffing him with Hickson.Sat, Nov 7

J.J. Hickson started for the Cavaliers on Friday, sending Anderson Varejao to the bench against the run-and-gun Knicks. Coach Mike Brown was looking to mix things up and put the more dynamic athlete on the floor to start the game. It worked, as the Cavs won in a blowout, although Hickson finished with just six points in 13 minutes. And Varejao came off the bench for eight points, 14 rebounds, two steals and two blocks for one of his best lines of the season.

Hickson started at power forward for the Cavaliers on Friday night.

Spin: This appears to be a move to shake up the rotation and get the Cavs out of their funk. Hickson has the ability to put up solid point, rebound, and block numbers if given enough minutes. He's eligible at center in Yahoo! leagues and could become a popular pickup if he earns enough minutes.Fri, Nov 6

News: Cleveland SG Danny Green was back in action in the preseason Tuesday against the Mavericks. He shot 1 of 4 from the field and scored two points off the bench in just under 16 minutes. He added four boards and three dimes.

Analysis: Green averaged a career-best 13.1 points and 4.7 rebounds in 38 games while helping the Tar Heels win the NCAA title last season. He won't play a major role off the bench this year, though, so avoid him in Fantasy

News: The Cavaliers selected guard Daniel Green with the 46th pick in the NBA Draft. He averaged 12.0 points and 4.7 rebounds in the NCAA Tournament for North Carolina.

Analysis: Green will find it hard to earn minutes as a rookie in Cleveland. He is not expected to play a big enough role to be helpful to Fantasy league owners

News: The Minnesota Timberwolves have waived veteran guard Antonio Daniels. He was acquired from New Orleans in September in a cost-saving move. To make room on the roster, the Cavs would release either Jawad Williams or Coby Karl, who have non-guaranteed contracts.

Analysis: The Timberwolves gave permission to Daniels to seek a trade and did not play him in the preseason. Since no deal could be completed, the young and rebuilding Wolves waived the 12-year veteran. He is not worth owning in Fantasy leagues. Williams and Karl are clearly not worth owning in Fantasy

Mo Williams had just 12 points, four rebounds and two assists in Friday's win. Williams' assists, or lack thereof, are becoming a real concern, as LeBron James is clearly running the offense in Cleveland. He's had three or less assists in four of his seven games and is averaging just 4.0 per. He started out slowly last year too, but wasn't this bad. Hopefully he'll get it turned around.

News: Cavaliers PG Mo Williams scored a season-low 11 points on only 4 of 13 shooting Thursday against the Bulls. He also had six assists. Through his first six games, he's averaging 16.3 points and 4.3 assists.

Analysis: Because he plays with LeBron James, Williams doesn't get as many assists as most point guards, but he gets enough to remain effective in Fantasy, especially since he's a decent scorer. His numbers so far make him a low-end No. 2 Fantasy guard, despite his poor shooting Thursday

News: Cavaliers SG Anthony Parker got back in double figures Thursday against the Bulls, finishing with 11 points on 4 of 9 shooting, including 3 of 3 from 3-point range. He also had four rebounds and three assists. Through his first six games, he's averaging 9.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists.

Analysis: Considering Parker plays alongside LeBron James, Shaquille O'Neal and Mo Williams, he's holding his own statistically and actually proving somewhat useful in Fantasy, especially if you need 3-pointers. He's the type of player who will be on and off waivers all year, though

Anthony Parker hit three 3-point shots on his way to a balanced line of 11 points, four rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one block on Thursday. Parker's value could take a hit if Delonte West can get on track, which is far from certain given his current legal troubles. For now, he's relevant for those in deeper leagues, scoring double-digit points in four of his six games to go with a couple of threes per game and a sprinkling of all other statistics.

Parker went 3-pf-3 from behind the arc, scoring 11 points against Chicago Thursdsay night.

Spin: Parker rebounded nicely from an off shooting night a couple of nights ago with 4-of-9 shooting from the floor. Parker was also able to add four rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block. Parker looked a lot more comfortable shooting the ball tonight, thus helping him on the defensive end to make more plays.Thu, Nov 5

Karl appears to have made the Cavaliers roster heading into the regular season, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Spin: Karl survived the final cut over Andre Barrett because of his ability to play both guard spots. He averaged 5.7 points in six preseason games and doesn't figure to get a lot of playing time with the Cavs. His contract is non-guaranteed until Jan. 10, giving Cleveland the flexibility to consider other options between now and next week.Sat, Oct 24

The Cavaliers are expected to have both Coby Karl and Jawad Williams on their roster for opening night. The Cavs made their final roster cuts on Friday and both Karl and Williams came away unscathed. Nevertheless, they won't have any value to fantasy owners.Related: Jawad Williams

News: LeBron James and teammates Darnell Jackson and Coby Karl have tested positive for Influenza A, and are being treated as if they have the H1N1 virus. H1N1, also known as swine flu, is a strain of Influenza A. Though the Cavaliers have not gotten back H1N1 test results on the three, the team said it is being proactive in treating players and the traveling party to Texas.

Analysis: Obviously, this is a big deal when it comes to LeBron James -- the best player in Fantasy hoops. As far as Jackson and Karl they have no real Fantasy value to speak of. We hope them well, but still advise Fantasy owners to stay away from them
