It appears that Miller will fill the vacuum created by Tyrus Thomas' injury, since Taj Gibson (four points, 18 minutes) just isn't cutting it. Miller doesn't look so good in a standard 12-team league, but he should provide consistent enough production in leagues deeper than that.

The Bulls are still trying to figure out how to use him now that Joakim Noah is the clear starting center, but as long as he gets this kind of production, he has some Fantasy appeal. News: Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro said "everything has gone well" with F Tyrus Thomas, who is out for at least a month with a broken left forearm. "It's just a matter of getting him on some cardio program so he can stay in the best condition as you can in this situation," Del Negro said. "But it's going to be awhile."

He has upside as a rebounder and shot blocker, but he likely won't serve as more than a No. 4 forward in Fantasy when he returns

Derrick Byars has been waived by the Chicago Bulls.

Our View: Byars apparently would have pushed the Bulls over the luxury tax threshold, something they were unwilling to have happen because of their 14th player.

The Bulls waived Derrick Byars on Wednesday, cutting their roster to 13 players. Byars could have pushed Chicago into the luxury tax, and he wasn't going to crack the rotation anyway.

Byars is expected to miss a week after hyperextending his left knee Monday against Orlando, the Arlington Daily Herald reports.

News: Yahoo! Sports reports that Derrick Rose continues to be limited by a sprained right ankle Rose suffered early in the preseason. "I really can't run [well] unless I'm taped," Rose said. "I depend on the tape a little bit too much. But I know it's getting back there."

Analysis: The most telling sign, the report notes, is that Rose has yet to dunk this season. By the look of Rose's play and statistics, his ankle still isn't 100 percent. Rose averaged 16.8 points on 47.5 percent shooting from the field, 6.3 assists and 3.9 rebounds in 37 minutes per game last season. This season, those numbers have dropped to 13.4 points on 43.8 percent shooting, 5.5 assists and 2.9 rebounds in 32.4 minutes per game. The further he is removed from the ankle injury, the closer he'll get back to his excellent production. With the Bulls playing just two games in the upcoming scoring period, perhaps it could be a good excuse to sit him in cumulative leagues

News: Veteran guard Lindsey Hunter has re-signed with the Chicago Bulls and will return for a 17th NBA season. The team announced the move Wednesday.

Analysis: Hunter signed with the Bulls last November and averaged 2.6 points and 1.3 assists in 28 games. More important was the leadership and mentoring he provided, particularly to eventual Rookie of the Year Derrick Rose. He has no real Fantasy appeal

News: The Chicago Tribune reports that the Bulls re-signed Lindsey Hunter on Monday. The deal is reportedly for the league minimum for players with 10 or more seasons of experience.

Analysis: Hunter is 38 years and is being brought along almost as a player/coach to help tutor young Derrick Rose. Hunter averaged just 2.6 points in 28 games last season and has no Fantasy value

Starting with a 3-pointer at the first-quarter buzzer, Pargo scored 10 points in four possessions to help stretch a one-point Bulls lead to 34-25 in the team's 101-87 win over Sacramento Tuesday.
