After missing three of the Magic's past four games with an ankle injury, Vince Carter will try to play on Sunday, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
Our View: The Magic are 3-0 in those games, and understandably not anxious to rush back one of their key players too early. If he doesn't play on Sunday, expect him to play on Tuesday.

News: Magic guard Vince Carter was sidelined against the Pistons on Friday night with a sprained left ankle. Carter was first injured last Friday against New Jersey. "I can honestly say that throughout my career I've had little injuries and come back not quite 100 percent and just tried to fight through it," Carter told the Orlando Sentinel. "They don't really believe in that. I know it's just about the big picture and the long haul. They're playing for a lot here. I've sat and talked with the staff, and I agree with them. Status: Sidelined. Out Friday, day-to-day
Vince Carter will not play Friday against the Pistons, coach Stan Van Gundy said. J.J. Redick will get the start again at SG. Carter, who has a sprained ankle, practiced today without a noticeable limp; but the Magic will play it safe. Reserve G Anthony Johnson will also miss Friday's game to deal with a family issue.
