The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that Tyson Chandler is making significant progress in his recovery from a sprained ankle. He was a limited participant in Monday's practice. He is considered questionable for Wednesday's game.Chandler has missed five games due to the injury, but it appears that he should return prior to the All-Star break. Most of his numbers are down from a season ago, but he could still have a strong second half as the Hornets battle for playoff position.

Tyson Chandler did some light shooting on Monday and could return to action on Wednesday. Bobcats center Nazr Mohammed has been outplaying Chandler all season, and there is no reason to gamble by playing Chandler this week.

Without a doubt, Chandler had his best year during his first season with the New Orleans Hornets. Not only did he manage to score just shy of ten point per game, but he also contributed down low, grabbing over twelve rebounds per game. He did not fail to put up a repeat performance during the next year, as he finished the 2007-2008 season as the league leader in offensive rebounds. He would eventually go on to win a gold medal with Team USA during the 2007 Olympics. Today, the New Orleans Hornets consider Tyson Chandler an integral component of their team.
