Lewis test positive for steroids

Source (fanball.com) (PF - orl) | 0 comments.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Magic All-Star Rashard Lewis has tested positive for steroids and will be suspended for the first ten games of the 2009-10 season.

Our View: Tests showed that a testosterone-producing, performance enhancing substance was found in Lewis' system. League sources revealed that he was taking nutritional supplements that, unbeknown to Lewis, contained an illegal substance commonly known as DHEA, which is banned by the NBA. It's being called an honest mistake, but athletes should know what they are putting in their bodies. Especially when their livelihood is on the line.
