Update: With so many injuries occurring on the Jazz, Almond has been receiving ample playing time, especially in the first half of games. Saturday night he scored 11 points in a Jazz win.
Analysis: Despite the fact that the Jazz have not picked up Almond's 2009-10 option and it appears as if they may look into trading him, Almond has been getting some playing time and has been making the most of it. Coach Jerry Sloan has said that it has been tough to sit Almond with the effort he puts forth in practice. "Sometimes windows open up and you've just got to be ready to play." Almond said.
