Mike Dunleavy (hip, knee) believes he'll be back before his scheduled January return date, according to the Indianapolis Star.
Our View: Dunleavy played in just 18 games last season, but did average 15 points per game in those matches. As long as he is 100 percent healthy, he should make a nice midseason acquisition this season.

Status: Sidelined. Targeting November return
Contrary to a report that he would make his season debut on Wednesday, the Pacers have now backpedaled saying that there is no timetable for his return. Dunleavy says he wants to be in the best possible game shape before playing, but one can't help but think it has to do with a setback, or because the suddenly crowded rotation needs room to breathe. We would still pick him up if he's on the waiver wire, but with just a bit more caution.
