Update: The Deseret News reports that Harpring received a second MRI on the recommendation of the doctor who performed his ankle surgery in the off-season.
Analysis: Harpring has not reinjured his ankle but does not believe that it is progressing as expected. The results of his latest MRI will be evaluated later this week. Harpring will continue to play through any pain while awaiting the results.

Status: Sidelined. Out indefinitely - May retire
There is still no update on Matt Harpring's ankle since the Jazz announced six weeks ago that they would re-evaluate his ankle in "six weeks." While there's still an outside shot he could rejoin the team, neither side is planning on it. In fact, the Jazz are not even expecting Harpring to decide on his future at this time, even if all indications are that he will retire.
