Marcus Banks has mostly been a point guard during his five-year career, but he is making a push for playing time at shooting guard, as well, according to the Miami Herald. "He's a combo guard, in my mind," coach Erik Spoelstra said. "I just look at him as a player. He's a very good high-pick-and-roll player. He can create, get in the paint for us. But he also can play some point guard for us."Banks could end up being a valuable piece for the Heat this year, but he can be ignored for fantasy purposes.

Update: It is looking more and more like Banks will see time at shooting guard, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Analysis: "He's a combo guard, in my mind," coach Erik Spoelstra said of the 6-foot-2 sixth-year veteran. "I just look at him as a player. He's a very good high-pick-and-roll player. He can create, get in the paint for us. "Basically, with our team, we have such a small team that all the guards are interchangeable," Banks said. "At times, I could be at the two, at times, at the three." The point guard position for Miami is crowded with Chris Quinn, Mario Chalmers, and Shaun Livingston so minutes might be easier to find at shooting guard for Banks.

Their new head coach Mike D'Antoni coached a Phoenix team last season that gave up 105.4 points, five games. The Kings allowed 104.8 points and Charlotte gave up 101.3.
