News: Minnesota rookie PF Kevin Love had 12 points, nine rebounds and two blocks in 19 minutes off the bench in his NBA debut Thursday against the Kings. Though he didn't get the start, he was inserted with the offense growing stagnant in the fourth quarter and immediately made a difference. With the Wolves clinging to an 81-80 lead, Love threw down a dunk to get the crowd going, then made a pretty little baby hook shot and converted the three-point play to give Minnesota a 90-84 lead with 6:17 to go. "It's the start of my dream, to tell you the truth," Love said. "It was a dream to play in college, but this is something I've been working on my whole life, to get into the NBA in big arenas like this, big crowds and getting our first win." [...]

Status: Sidelined. Targeting Dec. 11 return
An X-Ray revealed that Kevin Love's broken hand is progressing, but he's still about two weeks from practicing and three weeks from playing in a game. Love did some outside shooting Friday, and though he says he feels almost no pain in his hand, he is unable to do anything physical. If he returns Dec. 11 against the Lakers, that would put him right in the 6-to-8 week recovery time originally reported when he broke his hand Oct. 16.
