Update: Hayes played 33 minutes in Friday night's win against the Raptors, scoring 14 points on 5-of-13 shooting. He added six boards, three assists, three steals, two threes, and one block.
Analysis: Hayes has been a valuable bench player for the Nets and his statistical versatility increases his fantasy value in deeper leagues. Hayes has seemed to carve himself a comfortable niche in the Nets' injured and crowded frontcourt.

Status: Sidelined. Targeting mid-November return
An ultrasound Thursday confirmed that Jarvis Hayes has a strained hamstring, which will keep him out of action for 2-to-3 weeks. The injury occurred while Hayes was recovering on a fast break on Wednesday, just two minutes after he entered the game. Bobby Simmons replaced Hayes in the lineup Wednesday, but Hayes' injury should especially benefit owners of Terrence Williams.
