Update: McGuire played his second-most minutes (17) this season Tuesday in the Wizards' 124-100 win over the Warriors. The Washington Post reports new Coach Ed Tapscott will use an "eight plus two plan. ... There probably is a core of eight guys who are going to play every night and then two out of the remaining four will play based on matchups, scouting reports and the rest."
Analysis: McGuire, who is a stong defender, had two points, five rebounds, two steals and two blocks Tuesday. He appears to be a part of Tapscott's top eight rotation -- at least for now. However, he still probably will not make enough of an impact to warrant any fantasy consideration.
